Our movements carry the stories of our lives. Sometimes we get stuck in our movement repertoires, and we are then less fluently resonating with and responding to the present situation. Expanding our movement repertoire can allow us to become more fluid in our ways of relating. Moving Stories builds on Developmental Somatic Psychotherapy. It is a practice for engaging individuals and groups in rediscovering the (at times) lost art of embodied awareness, by attending to how we kinaesthetically resonate with one another and our surrounding world. We will explore the non-verbal realm of story telling, and practice our ability to listen through movement. The more sensitised we become to our own self-movements the more able we become be moved by others and the world around us.
